1. Bookings
Bookings are made in the name and for the account of the owner of the holiday accommodation, with Mediterraneo Case acting as an intermediary between the landlord and tenant.

2. How can I book?
Bookings can be made online via our website www.mediterraneocase.de, www.apulien-fewo.de or in writing by email. With our written booking confirmation (not the automatic confirmation of receipt of your reservation), your booking will be confirmed by Mediterraneo Case.

3. Prices
The rental prices are weekly prices (except for hotels, guest houses and B&B). Prices are based on current market conditions. Price changes after the booking has been made and the booking confirmation sent by us are not possible. Our prices are per accommodation and week. They include gas for cooking, water, electricity and final cleaning, unless otherwise stated in the respective property description. All additional costs such as heating costs, wood, additional beds and extra linen change are not included and may have to be paid on site.

4. Payment
The deposit of 30% is to be paid within 7 days after receipt of our booking confirmation and receipt of the security note at Mediterraneo Case (by bank transfer). Mediterraneo Case assumes no responsibility in the event that the deposit is paid later than 7 days after booking confirmation and the holiday accommodation has therefore been rented to someone else in the meantime. However, Mediterraneo Case will endeavor to find acceptable alternative accommodation or will refund the deposit. For organizational reasons, the remainder of the rental price should be transferred to Mediterraneo Case’s collection account 45 days prior to arrival. If the remaining amount is not paid 45 days before the start of the trip, the owner has the right to cancel the booking and to charge cancellation fees as listed under point 6. Payments can be made by bank transfer. Any bank charges incurred are to be borne by the customer.

5. Changes and termination by the customer
Changes to the booking or cancellations by the customer must be made in writing. In the case of cancellations, the cancellation fees apply. We will endeavor to make the changes you want possible, but we cannot guarantee that the changes you want will be implemented. We reserve the right to charge an administration fee of € 25.00 for changes. If the customer wishes to change the occupancy date 6 weeks before the booked occupancy, cancellation fees as described below may apply. Any change in the number of fellow travelers must be reported to Mediterraneo Case immediately; any additional costs arising from this must be borne by the customer, administration fees may apply. Cancellation by the owner is effective if the balance is not paid. In this case, the cancellation fees below must be paid. In the event of early departure or late arrival of the tenant, there will be no reimbursement of the full or partial rental price. Cancellation fees:

Up to 45 days before arrival 30% of the rental price (deposit)
44–30 days before arrival 50% of the rental price
29–15 days before arrival 80% of the rental price
14–0 days before arrival 100% of the rental price

6. Changes and termination by the owner
Most of the renovations or changes to accommodations that have already been booked are often minor. We try very hard to inform you of any changes. Even if this is unlikely, we reserve the right to replace an accommodation that has already been booked with another of the same standard. In the event that replacement accommodation is provided, the customer has the choice of either accepting the alternative accommodation or canceling the booking. If the rental price of the replacement accommodation is lower, the difference will be repaid; if the rental price for the replacement accommodation is higher, Mediterraneo Case reserves the right to charge the customer the difference. In the event of cancellation, the rental price already paid by the customer will be refunded immediately on behalf of the owner of Mediterraneo Case.

7. Occupancy: number of people / replacement person / pets
Your holiday accommodation is only reserved for the number of people listed in the booking confirmation. Additional persons are only allowed after confirmation by Mediterraneo Case. The customer has the option of providing a replacement until the start of occupancy, who will take his place in the rights and obligations under the contract and whom he must notify Mediterraneo Case beforehand. Pets are only allowed if this is expressly described in the detailed description of the holiday accommodation. In addition, the pet must be specified when making the reservation and confirmed by Mediterraneo Case. If the accommodation is occupied with a pet without confirmation from Mediterraneo Case, the owner can immediately withdraw from the contract and request the move-out.

8. Arrival, departure, behavior
The accommodation can be occupied between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If the customer is late, he must immediately inform the manager / landlord of the expected arrival. Occupancy after 7:00 p.m. cannot be guaranteed. Neither Mediterraneo Case nor the owner are responsible for any damage, additional costs (e.g. accommodation costs) or other consequences due to a late arrival. However, Mediterraneo Case endeavors to enable arrivals after 7:00 p.m., a fee of € 30.00 may have to be paid on site. All costs for the trip to the holiday accommodation are to be borne by the customer. The departure is to take place between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. A later departure is possible in exceptional cases, but only after consultation with the landlord / manager. The voucher, which will be sent to you after payment of the entire rental price, is not transferable to third parties and must be presented to the manager / landlord on arrival. The number of people that must not be exceeded is listed in the voucher. The max. Occupancy capacity is listed in the respective description, changes before arrival must be requested from Mediterraneo Case in advance. If more people are occupied than specified in the property description, the owner is entitled to terminate the contract without repayment of the rental price. Mediterraneo Case assumes no liability for any damage in the event that the contractual conditions are violated by the customer and the owner exercises his right. Unworthy behavior (e.g. willful destruction of the facility, poor hygiene, considerable noise pollution) can also lead to termination by the owner without repayment of the rental price. The tenant and fellow travelers are responsible for the damage they cause to and in the holiday property. In the event of early departure or late arrival of the tenant, there will be no reimbursement of the full or partial rental or travel price

9. Security deposit
When the keys are handed over, a deposit is usually given to the manager / landlord. The amount of the deposit is listed in the property description and must be paid in cash. The deposit will be deducted upon departure. any additional services used and / or damage settlement repaid.

10. Responsibility
The holiday accommodations brokered by Mediterraneo Case are private accommodations and reflect the local tradition and the personal taste of the owner. It is therefore important that you recognize the difference between this holiday accommodation and the accommodation you normally live in (please also read our important information on this). Mediterraneo Case has inspected the holiday homes to make sure they are suitable as holiday accommodation. Should there be any reason to complain, the customer is obliged to inform the owner or manager immediately, he is the contractual partner and is responsible for remedying the defect. If no remedy is possible, please call Mediterraneo Case. This is the only way we can mediate between you and the landlord. In addition, the customer must give the owner a reasonable deadline to remedy the situation and is legally obliged to cooperate in solving the problem or remedying defects. If the customer does not comply with his legal obligations to cooperate and notify, any claims for a price reduction or compensation are excluded. Mediterraneo Case will try to help solve the problem or provide alternative accommodation. Should defects not be remedied, a notice of defects must be reported to the owner within 14 days of departure. Customers should be aware that many of the properties are in rural areas, where there are often many lizards, ants, mice and insects. Furthermore, some accommodations have dangers, such as B. Swimming pool, dry stone walls, unsecured stairs, stairs. Neither Mediterraneo Case nor the owner can be held responsible for any damage or accidents and the renter must take appropriate precautionary measures. Likewise, no claims can be made if an accident occurs under the influence of alcohol or taking tablets.

11. Force Majeure
Mediterraneo Case and the owners assume no liability for missing services due to force majeure such as war, unrest, terrorist activities, fires, storms, natural disasters, epedimies, bad weather conditions.

12. Insurance
No insurance is included in the rental price. We therefore strongly recommend our customers to take out travel cancellation insurance. This should be done within 14 days of booking.
