Trullo on your own land
We rented the Trullo Votrano Rosso for a week in July and spent some very nice days there. For a starter we had some problems with the water, but the owner did what he could for solving the problem. And he left fresh eggs to us from the hens at the trullo. We really felt totally undisturbed and yet safe at the trullo with a rather large belonging land filled with enormous olive trees, almond and fig trees. It was amazing being able to get fresh almonds and figs every day, just outside your door, and enjoying them in the breeze under the pergola! The trullo was only 10 minutes drive from the centro storico of Ceglie Messapica with lots of restaurants, 30 minutes drive from Cisternino that has a very cozy piazza and both an organic health food store as well as vegan dishes in restaurants and bars! Would totally recommend this trullo.

back from Apulia, a few remarks on a wonderful week. First of all: the Trullo Votrano is a great neighborhood, lonely enough, but not too lonely, a good starting point to reach many of the Apulian sights.

As a journalist who has got to know countless holiday and other quarters in his professional life, I would like to add something to praise. Detergents and cleaning agents should be available. The kitchen equipment was quite economical. Finding only two wine glasses in a four-person neighborhood in Italy is not possible. Just as an example. Probably there were more glasses, also drinking glasses, a little wastage is always, but then the stock has to be replenished. And: the nights are still quite fresh in May. We didn’t really freeze, but actually there should be a woolen blanket in the trullo per bed that can be used as needed.

Mr. Semeraro had done the requested purchases correctly, the key return worked smoothly, although we were almost a little surprised that it did not take place at the trullo, but in the agency in Cisternino. That shows trust in the guests.

And finally, one more question that kept us busy during the week and to which you probably have a more informed answer. Are the trullis in this region listed, do owners get any subsidies to maintain them? „

„We arrived with a lot of anticipation for“ our „trullo in August and were not disappointed. The trullo corresponded absolutely to the pictures on the homepage! Very lovingly furnished house with a beautiful, well-kept property. The cleanliness was also a big plus , from the bathroom to the kitchen to the room! The morning started in the sun with a good breakfast and ended in the evening with a glass of wine in complete peace at the grill. The area around Ceglie was great to explore with our rental car, there were some beaches in about 15-20 minutes. Many thanks also to the on-site support and the Mediterraneo team who were at our side with help and advice when we had a problem picking up our rental car at the airport in Brindisi (even late at night) Thank you for that and we’d love to come back! „
